Thanks for writing about "The Abolition of Man". I read C.S. Lewis too young to fully appreciate that he was more than just a Christian apologist. You are correct that we need to bring back virtue (Christian or Aristotelian) into pedagogy. To slightly quibble, the current curriculum does teach ethics, just not the classic virtues but rather a deeply twisted post modern version driven by toxic empathy for the "oppressed" out group. Slavery is the original sin, identity and intersectionality replace merit, the Managerial State replaces the family, and Green Gaia replaces God.
